Ryan McLaughlin is the founder of MCL.digital, a CreativeShare Consultancy, which brings together world-class strategic and creative talent to develop ideas, experiences and culture for brands, through digital co-working. Prior to setting out was an entrepreneur, Ryan was the Chief Strategy Officer for Tribal Worldwide in New York, where he was charged with the management and leadership of all strategic disciplines at the agency, including, Social, Mobile, Innovation, Content, Experience, CRM, SEO, Research, and Analytics. Prior to joining Tribal Worldwide, Ryan served as Director of Social and Mobile Platforms at R/GA and led strategic work for Converse, Walmart, Capital One, Verizon and L’Oreal, as well as taking a key role in the agency’s new business efforts.
Prior to R/GA, Ryan honed his craft at Initiative, Rapp, Saatchi & Saatchi, Arnold, and Modernista. Ryan has won numerous industry awards including best social agency, best branded social community, and best use of social content as well as best online commercial at the Webby awards for his work on Toyota.
Ryan is very active in the New York startup space, advising and mentoring seed stage startups. He is a strategic partner to the New York Media Center, the official media incubator of the City of New York. Ryan also hosts Miami Ad School’s annual Digital Reboot summit and is an instructor for the school in New York, Miami and Hamburg. Additionally, Ryan lectures at the Steinbeis School of Management and Innovation on topics related to Digital Change Management.
He is a graduate of University of South Florida and currently resides in Hamburg, Germany.
