From 1987 to 1989, he was managing director of the Media Markt stores in Braunschweig and Mülheim. In the upcoming five years, Horst Norberg held the chairman of the Management Board position at Saturn Hansa Handelsgesellschaft mbH. Afterwards (1995-1999), he was a member of the Management Board and, from 1999 to 2004, the chairman of the Management Board of Saturn Management GmbH, responsible for marketing, human resource development, and distribution. From 2001 to 2010, Horst Norberg worked as COO for Saturn and was a member of the Management Board of Media-Saturn-Holding GmbH. Finally, he occupied the CEO and Chairman of the Management Board positions at Media-Saturn-Holding GmbH until May 2014.
